Each fabric is checked for its cleaning code and tested first, then cleaned with hot water extraction or a low moisture method. Quotes are free and counted by the piece.

The pieces that get skipped

The sofa gets the attention. The dining chairs, the armchair by the window, the bench in the hall and the headboard take the same daily wear and are almost never cleaned. Dining chairs collect food and hand marks on the seat front and the top rail. A headboard darkens where heads rest against it. An armchair wears on the arms first.

Every fabric is checked on its own

One room can hold four different fabrics. A cotton slipcover, a velvet accent chair, a linen bench and a polyester dining seat each take water differently. We find the cleaning code where there is one, test a hidden place, and choose the method for that piece.

Velvet, linen, chenille and other delicate covers get the gentlest method that will clean them, usually low moisture with careful grooming of the pile. When a fabric should not be wet cleaned at all, we say so.

Rows of red upholstered chairs on a gray carpet in an assembly hall

Rows of seating

Upholstered seating in an assembly hall, a house of worship, an office or a waiting room is cleaned the same way as a dining chair, many times over. Chairs are worked row by row, seat and back, and left spaced so air can move between them while they dry. Tell us the number of chairs and when the room is not in use.

Count the pieces before you call

Upholstery is quoted by the piece. Six dining chairs with fabric seats are a different job from two fully upholstered armchairs. A list of the pieces, with the fabric where you know it and a photo of anything stained, gets you a quote that matches the work.

How an upholstery cleaning visit goes

  1. We check each fabric

The cleaning code and a test in a hidden place, piece by piece.

  2. We vacuum and treat

Dry soil first, then the seat fronts, arms and marks that need treatment.

  3. We clean

Hot water extraction or a low moisture method, with the moisture the fabric allows.

  4. We leave it to dry

Pieces are spaced so air can move around them. Fabric is usually dry within a few hours.

Upholstery cleaning: questions, answered

Do you clean dining chairs and headboards?

Yes. Dining chairs, headboards, ottomans, benches and accent chairs are everyday work for us. Each piece is quoted on its own, so count them before you call.

Can you clean velvet without crushing the pile?

Usually, with care. We test first and use the gentlest method that will clean it, most often low moisture, then groom the pile in one direction while it dries. Some velvets should not be wet cleaned, and we say so.

Do you clean seating for offices, halls and houses of worship?

Yes. Rows of upholstered chairs are cleaned seat and back, row by row. Tell us how many chairs there are and when the room is free, and we plan the visit for an hour that suits you, nights and weekends included.

How long does upholstery take to dry?

Usually a few hours. Thin seat fabric dries faster than a thick cushion. Air moving through the room helps more than heat.

What does the cleaning code on the tag mean?

It says what the fabric can be cleaned with. W is water based cleaning, S is solvent only, WS is either and X is vacuuming only. We read it before we choose a method.

Do you clean leather chairs or other leather furniture?

No, leather is not something we clean. Our upholstery work covers fabrics: cotton, linen, velvet, polyester, microfiber and similar covers on chairs, ottomans, benches and headboards.

How is upholstery cleaning priced?

By the piece. The size of each piece, its fabric and its condition set the quote, and quotes are free. A list of the pieces and a few photos are enough to start.

I am so happy I ended up getting a hold of this business and this company. I ended up calling them at 6:30 at night and someone answered me said they could send someone out within two business days at my convenience and I was so lucky for who showed up out a gentleman named Bob who is very respectful to my home and my needs and really listen to my concerns. he was very honest with me about the service and the type of stain it was and that is set for a week that there was a chance it would not fully come out and to be prepared for that in case and was able to even work out with the company because of the pricing being a couple hundred dollars for just the stain removal, we were able to do a cleaning of my stairs and small hallway as well for $250. I really felt like this was a great value to keep my carpets fresh. they're only a year old and to my great surprise he got the stain out fully. it's absolutely amazing. this was dark blue ink in a light white gray carpet. he took his time and was very respectful to work with! I will recommend Bob in the service to any one of my friends and family who need a carpet cleaning or staying removal. carpet even itself looks brighter and. Thank you again, Bob!

Having a home full of adolescents means our sectional sofa is pretty much a dining table. It was covered with crumbs and drink spills and odd sticky areas and looked absolutely wrecked. The deep steam did a great job, brightening the cloth, freshening the fragrance and feeling wonderfully clean.

Had a really good experience with the carpet cleaning. There was a huge coffee stain that I thought would never come out, but they got it all cleaned up! It took a couple of hours to dry, but now it smells fresh and looks like new. Super glad I gave them a shot, definitely will use again!
